Focal Point by Graph Paper Press is a responsive photography theme for online portfolios and photo blogs. Focal Point comes with a built-in HD video player and supports WordPress Post Formats.
This theme supports natively two WordPress 3 menus:
- Main Menu – centered under the header
- Top Menu – right aligned in the header
Graph Paper Press prefers to release its themes with minimalist designs and as lightweight as possible. That is why its themes install with the default WordPress widgets only. The Theme Options panel serves four vertical tabs and a reset button:

At the General Settings you can upload your logo and favicon, enter your affiliate link, and activate mobile video for devices with Flash disabled.
Focal Point offers four predefined color schemes Default Light (white), Default Dark, Compact Light (gray) and Compact Dark. The two Dark skins have both a black background.
The Colors and Fonts tab also includes a field for the Google Font API and a checkbox in case you want to use the font sitewide. You can add your own CSS rules in the Custom CSS text box.
The Blog section lets you check the categories that you want to appear in the blog feed.
You first option at the Layout tab is to enable the sidebar. Here you can also activate the widgetized footer. In addition, you can opt from one up to four widget areas in the footer.
You have two options for the homepage. By default, Focal Point uses a page with the Home widget area as the frontpage. This is probably your choice when you want to display a Gallery Slideshow on the homepage.
When you prefer a blog-styled homepage, you only have to set the Blog template as a static frontpage at the Reading Settings (Settings >> Reading).
Graph Paper Press Focal Point supports WordPress Post Formats allowing you to take advantage of Tumblr-like post type. The theme distinguishes the following post formats:
