Immersion by Graph Paper Press is a multimedia theme with a responsive layout for all kinds of blogs. In addition, the theme supports WordPress post formats allowing you to take advantage of Tumblr-like features, making it suitable for tumblogs too.
Themes with a responsive layout will adapt the presentation of the web page to the screen of the device used by the visitor, be it a desktop, a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone – these themes respond to size and orientation of the screen.
This theme supports natively up to four WordPress 3 menus:
- Primary Menu – in the header
- Top Right Menu – above the sidebar
- Top Right Secondary Menu – above the sidebar
- Footer Menu – at the bottom of the page
Graph Paper Press ships its themes as lightweight as possible. For this reason, the Immersion theme installs with the default WordPress widgets only. However, the following widgets – among others – are available as plugins from the Graph Paper Press website as well as from the WordPress Plugin Directory:

By default, the Graph Paper Press theme serves only one widgetized area – the sidebar. However, you can enable up to three footer areas at the Layout tab of the Theme Options.
The Theme Options panel serves three horizontal tabs and a reset button:
- General Settings
- Colors and Fonts
- Layout
At the General Settings there is a check box to indicate that you are using a third party SEO plugin. Checking this option will allow your SEO plugin to rewrite the titles of your posts and pages and allow you to craft an SEO-friendly site description.
The Colors and Fonts tab includes a field for the Google Font API and a checkbox in case you want to use these fonts site wide. The last field at this tab is a text area where you can add custom CSS.
The Immersion theme comes with two predefined color schemes: light (default) and dark.
At the Layout tab, you can set the post content display on the homepage (none, excerpt or full content), the number of columns on archive pages, as well as the number of footer columns.
This Graph Paper Press theme framework distinguishes the following WordPress post formats:

The functionality of the post formats is supplied by the Crow Favorite WP Post Formats plugin.
The Immersion theme knows two page templates; default and full width.
The Featured Image is supported fully for Image post formats. For these posts the Featured Image will show up on index pages, as well as on the single post page as the first image.
