Instamate by Graph Paper Press is a responsive theme with optional Instagram support for online portfolios and blogs. The theme supports WordPress post formats giving it tumblr-like features.
A theme with a responsive design will adapt the presentation of the web page to the screen of the device used by the visitor; be it a desktop, a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone. Hence, such a theme responds to the size and orientation of the screen.
Graph Paper Press Instamate supports natively up two WordPress 3 menus; one at the top of the page, the other one in the header.
Graph Paper Press ships its themes as lightweight as possible. For this reason, the Instamate theme installs with the default WordPress widgets only. However, the following widgets – among others – are available as plugins from the Graph Paper Press website as well as from the WordPress Plugin Directory:

For the integration of your Instagram photographs, Graph Paper Press suggests the Instagrate for WordPress plugin, which is freely available from the WordPress plugin directory.
The theme incorporates four widgetized areas:

The theme offers the following page templates:

The Theme Options panel serves three horizontal tabs and a reset button:
- General Settings
- Appearance
At the General Settings tab you can upload your logo and favicon.
The Appearance tab lets you select your preferred color scheme, Google font for your headlines and body text, a left or right sidebar and your desired thumbnail orientation – square, horizontal or vertical. The Instamate theme comes with two predefined color schemes: light (default) and dark.
By default, the homepage will show your latest blog posts. However, you can also opt for a static portfolio homepage or homepage showcasing your Instagram photographs.

Graph Paper Press suggests the Crowed Favorite WP Post Formats plugin for the support of the post formats.
Outside the panel, the theme adds a module to the WordPress sidebar for creating and editing the custom post type Portfolio, which has its own taxonomy Types.
The Featured Image is supported fully for the Image post formats. For these posts the Featured Image will show up on index pages, as well as on the single post page as the first image.
